Workshops

1.  Writing Workshop - Fundamentals:

Basic ABC's about assembling information and writing concisely.  Reviews current news releases, publications, web sites, and other media.  Provides comprehensive analysis and promotes brainstorming of constructive suggestions.  

2.  Advanced Writing and Editing Workshop:

Advanced workshop for experienced writers and advocates.  Focuses on tailoring material for specific audiences/constituencies.  Promotes effective delivery and communication with any targeted communities, politicians, bureaucrats, individuals or groups.   

3.  How Media Really Work and How to Work the Media:

"Inside" information on what really happens behind the journalistic and political scenes.  Offers extensive review of media options/opportunities/alternatives.  Instructs how to have a constructive working relationship with any journalist in any medium.  
   
         You can be darn sure your reporters and elected officials are getting professional releases from the resource-extraction industries.  Make their jobs easier!  This workshop helps you balance the scales. 

4.  The Press and You: How to Have a Healthy Relationship:

All the training you need for a comprehensive media approach.  Thoroughly analyzes your complete current media identity, as perceived in-house and by others.  Promotes consistency and  compatibility among all media utilized by your group.  Encourages exploration of effective new media applications.
   
         Offers in-depth instruction concerning how each party (reporter, editor, columnist, broadcaster, advocate, governmental advisor, candidate, and elected official) might view a given situation.  Although every view may be completely different, they may still be accurate. 
   
         Learning to understand situations from distinctly different, but equally legitimate, points of view helps you become a more compassionate, likeable, and effective advocate.
